STUDENTS PERCEPTION ON @JAGOBAHASA ACCOUNT AND THE IMPACT OF THE VOCABULARY

This study describes students' perceptions of using Instagram as an additional medium to improve their vocabulary. The aim is to find out how better vocabulary production is by using the Instagram account @jagobahasa. The background of this study highlights the importance of English in daily life and the role of information and communication technology in language learning, especially through the use of Instagram and @Jagobahasa. @Jagobahasa can help in various skills including in improving vocabulary, this study uses a qualitative approach, which involves data collection through questionnaires and interviews. The study population included students from various semesters at Serambi Mekkah University Banda Aceh, with a sample of 50 students from the English language education program. The results showed that overal from 98% from the questionnaire most students follow and use @Jagobahasa as a tool to improve vocabulary and the similarity of the results of the interview is the same and positife.Conclusion the majority of students follow @Jagobahasaaccount as an medium that is easy and helpful in improving vocabulary.
